Does it work with Microsoft Office — Word, Outlook?
Yes. LinguaPilot uses Windows global keyboard hooks, which means it works inside any Windows application — including the full MS Office suite, browsers, WhatsApp Desktop, Notepad, and more. If you can select text and press a shortcut, it works.
Do I need an internet connection or an API key?
Not at all for the local mode. Install Ollama on your machine (free), connect LinguaPilot to it, and everything runs offline — no API key, no subscription, no data leaving your PC. Supported cloud providers are optional for users who prefer cloud processing.
Which languages does it support?
LinguaPilot auto-detects the language of your selected text — English, French, Arabic, Spanish, and many others are handled automatically. There is no manual language selection required; just write in your language and it adapts.
Is my data stored or sent anywhere?
In local mode, Ollama processes the selected text on your computer. When you enable a cloud provider, the selected text is sent to that provider under its own terms and privacy policy. LinguaPilot lets you choose between OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, Mistral AI, and local Ollama processing.
